Marauder Cross Country (Swansonized)
A fair majority of girls at school dressed like mail-order prostitutes. First Update got mixed reviews, and I’m not suprised. People are dicks though. It also pisses me off when people try to encourage others to disregard all the other segments except for the one they worked on. Except of course, if the segment is bad; and I’ll admit it right now: There was a bad segment. I...
We Are The Sleepyheads
The Belle and Sebastian song has been stuck in my head since I watched Stacy, Mariah and Jamie’s Final Project for Video Bulletin last year. It’s upbeat, positive, and has that “let’s go on an endless adventure” feel to it. I love the message that the video is trying to communicate, and I think they did a really good job. I kinda want to propose that we remake it for...
Dear Update Gods
I hope this Update isn’t as flawed as I think it’s going to be.
busy bee saturday
Today was pretty fun. Helped Alicia and Stacy edit their segment, we hung out for a bit, then we headed to film our segues (which we should’ve gotten way more time for). We got most of the stuff done, and most of the stuff we filmed is okay to put on the show; but the first update is all about making a good first impression, so I hope the whole campus doesn’t label us as anything bad...

Update Concept Intro - “Superbad”
School was fun. (Except for my partner in Update who asks too many questions) Jeopardy was fun to watch. (Except for Maheu’s Strip Jeopardy story) Uploading YouTube videos was fun. (Except for them not accepting the Superbad Concept Intro I did because the song is copyrighted) Running around in the middle of the street was fun. (Especially since it was foggy) =P

Sometimes I wonder
If being the person that a lot of people go to with their troubles has really paid off or not. Sometimes I feel like they just use me as someone to take out their stress on, but don’t consider me a friend. =/

Math Level Change
I changed from Function Analysis with Maurice Tompkins to Statistics with Frederick Griesbach. I wasn’t even in the class the whole period, but I felt more comfortable than I did the last 6 weeks in Tompkins’.
"excellent example", the paper said.
I watched two videos that were made last year that were pretty much videos to seniors (present and future) about how to do well on senior portfolios and what to do to get prepared for senior exhibitions as well. I didn’t watch them at first, but now that they were uploaded onto the school website (and recommended for us to watch), I sat down and watched them. Critically. Editing...
a windy walk home
I was walking home from school today. The Santa Ana winds were blowing in my face, and the only thing I could hear was the wind and the traffic that was passing by, mainly because I didn’t have my iPod with me. The night before, one of the headphones just stopped working, and because it happened in the middle of a song I was getting really into; I stopped the song, took the headphones out...
Since I got picked to be a main host for Update this year, I keep asking my myself if my deadpan humor is really humorous or not. In my opinion, I don’t think I’m funny. I’m just really sarcastic. That might be just because out of all the people I hang out with, the people that I want to laugh at my jokes don’t laugh. They just say that “I’m wierd”. I...
One of the main reasons
that I don’t like math, is that I can study very hard on a quiz or test, take the quiz or test and feel very confident in my answers, but still get my quiz or test back with a poor grade on it. Pardon my language, but fuck Functions Analysis class.
